FYI: Just a quick update on the final outcome of this 2nd annual ladies only event. Twenty Five lady anglers vied for the covented title 2009 "Queen of Kings", during the three day event.
There were no King Mackerel caught, but disregardless, as all tournament anglers soon learn here, opportunities await for those anglers decking qualifying secondary species. Plenty of those "Spanish Mackerel" were decked and thus winning purses were garnered.
The top three of those qualifiers are listed below.....................The ladies expressed their having had a blast and we're already looking forward to having them repeat their efforts during the 2010 "Queens of Kings"......stay tuned.

1st Place ($500) + ($200 Calcutta)+ Winners Custom Rod and Reel Prize package ($ 2000). Angler Peggy Groneman - 2 lb 11 oz Spanish Mackerel caught day two.
2nd Place ($300) + secondary prizes - Angler Bobby Diaz-Welch. 2 lb 9 oz Spanish Mackerel caught day two.
3rd Place ($200) + secondary prizes - Angler Sherry Kiser. 2 lb 8 oz Spanish Mackerel caught day two.
